
Northside’s Dr. Lalitha C. Medepalli, noninvasive cardiology, has become board certified in cardio-oncology and serves as chair of the cardio-oncology task force at Northside Hospital. She is just the second in Georgia, to receive board certification in cardio-oncology.
Medepalli brings 20 years of experience to her practice, with clinical interests such as noninvasive cardiology, women’s heart health and cardio-oncology. She specializes in transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiogram, nuclear cardiology-based procedures, cardiovascular imaging, cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA), stress echocardiograms, and Holter and event monitoring.
Her current work also involves developing a specialized cardio-oncology program to address the cardiovascular needs of patients with cancer alongside providing guidance for academic education, performance improvement and standardization of hospital procedures and protocols.
Dr. Medepalli attended medical school at Osmania Medical College before pursuing her residency in internal medicine at NYU Downtown Hospital in New York. She was also Chief Fellow in cardiovascular disease during her fellowship at Elmhurst Hospital Center.
