Resurgens Orthopaedics, Georgia’s largest orthopaedic practice, is announcing the opening of the Resurgens East Surgery Center in Covington, its seventh surgery center, which helps to fill out the practice’s geographic footprint in metro Atlanta.
The practice also announced the hire of Dr. Stephenson Ikpe, Jr., who will practice out of new East Surgery Center. Dr. Ikpe’s areas of expertise include general orthopaedics, arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction, knee and shoulder surgery, and sports medicine. He completed his medical degree at University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is board-eligible before the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Resurgens’ other physicians who will work out of the East Surgery Center are Dr. Jane S. Tan, a hand specialist; Dr. Roderica E. Cottrell, who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation; Dr. Robert T. Greenfield, a spine specialist; and Dr. Chealon D. Miller, who specializes in sports medicine. Emory Anesthesia will provide that medical specialty.
