Dr. Athan Tiliakos graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he also served as a Chief Medical Resident. He underwent fellowship training at Emory University. Dr. Tiliakos is currently involved in clinical trials and epidemiologic research projects relating to Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Eryhtematosus, with a particular interest in health disparities and their effects on disease outcomes. He teaches at the Emory School of Medicine and is particularly involved in clinical education at Grady Memorial.
