DeKalb Medical had named Roy “Reg” Gilbreath, M.D., F.A.C.P., as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.
Gilbreath joined the organization with more than 30 year of clinical experience, including serving as the Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Georgetown Hospital System in Georgetown, S.C. While in this role, he was influential in leading the organization to Lean Six Sigma transformation, improving service excellence and implementing effective, organizational-culture change. He also served as Chief Medical Officer for Gwinnett Hospital System for nearly 10 years.
Gilbreath earned his medical degree from the University of Miami and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center before completing his master of business degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
