Adina Alazraki, M.D., Jonathan Loewen, M.D., and Zahir Uddin Sarwar, M.D., recently joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as pediatric radiologists. Dr. Sarwar is part of the Radiology team at Children’s at Scottish Rite and Children’s at Webb Bridge Radiology Center, while Drs. Alazarki and Loewen work with the Radiology team at Children’s at Egleston.
Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Alazraki earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at Emory University in 1995. After graduation Dr. Alazraki practiced pediatrics for 5 years prior to entering a second residency in radiology. Following her radiology residency, Dr. Alazraki completed an advanced fellowship in pediatric radiology at Emory University and Children’s at Egleston. In addition to her radiology responsibilities at Children’s, Dr. Alazraki is a practicing pediatrician and will serve as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Alazarki is a 2007 Caffey Award recipient for her clinical science paper on the evaluation of single functioning kidney using MR autography.
Dr. Loewen earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University and completed his residencies at Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Spectrum Health. Following his residency, Dr. Loewen completed his fellowship in pediatric radiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Loewen has completed radiology based research with both Wake Forest University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Sarwar earned his medical degree from Chittagong Medical College Hospital in Chittagong Bangladesh. Completing his fellowship in pediatric radiology at Children’s Hospital of Boston, Dr. Sarwar has spent the past four years serving as a radiologist at the Nemours Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. As a Medical College Merit scholarship recipient, Dr. Sarwar completed training in pediatric sonography at Tufts-New England medical Center in Boston , Mass.
