Bier and Nowlin Take New Roles at Gwinnett Medical
Alan Bier, MD, MMM, FCCP CPE, is the new executive vice president and chief medical officer. Jeffrey D. Nowlin, CHE, has accepted the role of executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Alan Bier, MD, MMM, FCCP CPE comes to GMC from Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn., where he served as vice president for medical affairs and chief medical officer since 1998.
Jeffrey D. Nowlin, CHE comes to us from Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, Texas; where he has served as chief operations officer for two hospitals in the System, most recently at the 520-bed Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center.
